How to get Bonded

You've received your bond so, now what do you do with it?
In many instances you will need to sign (execute) your bond. Not every bond requires this step. Some bonds are filed electronically. Once you've signed your bond you will present it to the obligee.

Sureties compete for lowest ratings. The ratings change frequently as do the markets they serve. This fluctuation can create lower rates on some bonds and higher rates on others. Surety Bonds are divded into major categories or groups.
Perhaps the largest group is commercial surety. These bonds are for occupational licenses and consumer goods, tax revenue, etc. There are contract surety bonds that include bid, payment and performance bonds.
